The Golf de Saint Jean de Monts course is located close by, as well as the Thelasso spa. The houses

Enjoying stunning natural surroundings on the doorstep, Summer France Les Maisons du Lac are the ideal base for nature lovers and families looking to enjoy plenty of action within a serene atmosphere. All of the cottages are built in a traditional French style, with pretty whitewashed walls, orange slate roofs and blue shutters on most of the windows.

Each of the cottages at Les Maisons du Lac has its own private garden where guests can relax and enjoy the sunshine. Choose from cottages sleeping from four to six people, with a parking space available for each, ideal for those wanting the freedom renting a car brings. There is a living room and dining room for guests to relax in after an action packed day, and a kitchen to cook and eat as and when suits you.

All of the cottages at Les Maisons du Lac are self-catered and offer a kitchenette where guests can prepare their own meals. There are plenty of restaurants in the nearby area, with the centre of the town just a five minute walk away from the cottages. Offering French and international food, and some delicious local seafood dishes, guests can enjoy the very best of the region's cuisine during their stay here. Pick up goodies for a picnic at the market nearby, or head to the Super U or Intermarché supermarkets, which are just 2.5km away, to stock up.

A seaside town with a long promenade, pretty beach huts and a long expanse of golden sands, holidays in Saint Jean de Monts are ideal for water babies. The lake area is ideal for swimming, or the beach is just a five minute walk away, and there are plenty of water sports available. The town itself is more built up than most French seaside towns, with plenty of activities, shops, bars, restaurants and cafés to be explored. And there are opportunities to relax too, with a golf course just minutes from the town centre, as well as the Thelasso spa where guests can enjoy being pampered from head to toe with natural sea salt therapy.

Nantes, La Rochelle and La Roche-sur-Yon are all just under two hours drive away, giving visitors access to further attractions, historic sights and activities.

Activities

One of the main attractions of a holiday at Summer France Les Maisons du Lac is the proximity of the fantastic golf course. Here you can play your way around the green, surrounded by stunning scenery and quiet pine forests. Guests who would rather completely relax can head to the Thelasso spa, which is just a five minute walk from the cottages and will have you soaking, unwinding and being pampered from head to toe in no time at all. Alternatively, choose from the vast golden sands of the beach, or head to the freshwater beaches around the lake and stretch out as you soak up the warm sunshine.

There are plenty of water sports and activities on offer, with both the sea and the lake to choose from during your stay. Sea fishing can be arranged locally, with visitors able to hire a boat or book a trip with expert fishermen, or for something more energetic there is also sailing and even land sailing available. Those wanting to explore the area should book a horse riding trip, or take to the bicycle paths and cycle along the shore or up into the forest. And for really adventurous little ones there is always the tree top adventure course which will have them balancing like a pro in no time.

Things to see

A trip to Le Puy du Fou will keep both adults and children entertained with its educational shows and exhibitions providing interesting insights into the history of France alongside breath-taking stunts and drama.

Those wanting to soak up some of the culture of the area should head to the nearby Cathedral of Luçon, which is a 12th century building visible from miles away.

The Zoo of Sables d'Olonne offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with over 500 species, including lions, leopards, monkeys, penguins and more.

Late arrival (after 8 pm)

Please inform the reception or the reservations centre in advance and we will advise you of the late arrival procedure.

Key collection

Check in is from 5 pm onwards. The keys are available at the reception on presentation of your voucher

Deposit

Upon arrival you will have to pay a deposit of 400Eu for your house. It will be returned to you 15 days after your departure assuming there are no charges for breakages or additional cleaning.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is not included in the accommodation price and clients are required to clean the property before departure. Please note that cleaning products are not always provided.

An End of Stay Cleaning deposit of 70-84 Eu (depending on type) will be taken upon arrival which will be returned along with your Damage Deposit.

Payment conditions

Summer France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking, 10% two months before the date of arrival and the remaining balance one month before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available for bookings made by telephone more than 70 days before the stay.
2) Pay in two instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance 30 days before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 31 days before the arrival date.
3) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
-If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Methods of payment accepted:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheques*, holiday vouchers*.
*(only for reservations made more than a month before arrival).
For payments desired by cheque or holiday vouchers the deposit must be paid by way of debit/credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the second and/or third payment can be made by cheque or holiday voucher.
Arrival date less than 40 days: The total amount of the booking must be paid in full online, by debit/credit card at the time of booking.

Cancellation conditions

- If you choose Standard Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

- If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

- If you choose Non Refundable Conditions

As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
