Location

Résidence Cap Camargue is ideally located in La Grau du Roi, a resort in the heart of the beautiful Camargue region in the Languedoc Roussillon in France. The property is also in close proximity to the Regional Natural Park. It's just a five-minute walk to the marina, and just 2km from the Espiguette and Port-Camargue north beaches. Plus, the accommodation is close to local amenities, just 200m from the resort centre with its shops, bars and restaurants.

Le Grau du Roi is a lovely beach resort with its own marina, sitting snug between the Camargue Regional Natural Park and the beaches fronting the Mediterranean. Designed with holidaymakers in mind, this resort is the perfect destination whether in a couple, with family or in a group.

Accommodation

Our modern accommodation offers bright and airy apartments in a high-quality complex, complete with an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna (at an extra cost), gym and spa massage rooms.

Apartments are furnished with double or single beds, a sofa bed, coffee table and storage. There's a TV, dining table and chairs, and a kitchen fully-equipped with a microwave, ceramic glass hob, fridge, coffee pot, kettle, toaster and all crockery. The bathrooms include a shower and toilet.

Le Grau du Roi

You may not have heard of Le Grau du Roi, but this typical seaside destination is very popular with French locals, who go to try pétanque and pastis. A favourite with Ernest Hemingway, the small resort hasn't lost a jot of its charm with the increase in ice cream and French tourists.

It's a traditional fishing port, with trawlers to-ing and fro-ing with the daily catch along the Chenal Maritime that divides the town. The resort also boasts 6 miles of beaches, surprisingly intermingled with the town to produce a happy-go-lucky seaside feel throughout the town.

Le Grau du Roi presents fun and laid-back holidaying in a pretty surrounding, not far from plenty of facilities to keep you ticking along. A short walk outside of the resort's shops and restaurants you'll find gorgeous beaches to one side, and the wetlands of the Natural Park to the other. The ancient city of Arles is also nearby, and the historic capital of the Languedoc, Montpellier, is not too far away for a daytrip.

Activities

Within the accommodation, we offer themed parties and a music bar, as well as bike rental and horse riding. When you're looking to escape and explore the surrounding area, there's a 4x4 safari to try, as well as boules, mini-golf, golf and tennis within the resort.

The tourist train will show you the must-sees, but renting a bike and following the new cycle path south to Espiguette beach is a lovely afternoon excursion, with 3 cabins-cum-beach bars.

On the beaches in town, expect windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, fishing and all manner of aquatic sports. The resort also offers a funfair-type park in the name of Amigoland, complete with rides, slides, candyfloss and a floating bar.

Things to see

The old fishing port is well-worth a wander on a sunny afternoon into evening to watch the fishermen with their sea bass and crabs.

The wetlands of the park are the place to be if you like your views pink-legged and bendy-kneed – flamingos. The Etangs is the only place to catch sight of this many wild flamingos outside of Africa, in such a large flock. Take a peek into the underworld at Le Grau's Seaquarium, with tanks of octopus and tropical fish, sea lions and seals, sharks and rays.

Payment Conditions

Madame Vacances offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments if booked more than 60 days prior to arrival:
- 15% deposit at time of booking, 15% payment 60 days prior to arrival & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival

2) Pay in 2 instalments if booked more than 30 days prior to arrival:
- 30% deposit at time of booking & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival

3) Pay in 1 payment (always available and obligatory if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival)
- 100% at time of booking

Additional Extras:
- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to final payment
- Any extras added after final payment to be paid at time of addition to booking

Cancellation Conditions

- If you choose Standard Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

- If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

- If you choose Non Refundable Conditions

As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
